this is another awesome book by Celia Rees and the sequel to witch child. it is about the rest of Mary's journey this time with the natives. it tells about her family and diseases that the natives struggled with. then the war bettween the Europeans and many of the native tribes trying to get thier own land to live in again.

I am glad to know about Celia Rees.
I think we often take for granted what our ancestors did when they came here and all the obstacles that they faced.

you are right. It was contaminated water. What was scary was that it happens in a country like Canada where fresh water is a a natural resource.
Awful to think anyone would be forced to live that way.
