Something Girl
Hey!
This book is by Beth Goobie. Sophie, a girl is in trouble. After stealing and being late home, her father hit her and bruises turn up. Sophie thinks that it's her fault that he hits her. Stupid, no good nothing.... The night that followed, she was hit so severely, the she had to go to the hospital. Will she turn him in? Anyways, she would hate it to have to live in the group homes......
I thought that this book is a good book and I learned that even though you are stupid, useless, being hit (abused) is wrong.
Read it. It's a good book!

No one ever has a right to treat anyone else like that.
being abused is just plain wrong.
No one deserves to be treated that way.
i am disappointed. It sounds like the book did not deal with alternatives or organizations, friends that could have supported Sophie throughthis ordeal.
