The Convicts

Hey!
This book is by Iain Lawerence. Tom, a 14 year-old boy, sets of for revenge on a man who's in charge of his whole family's misfortune after seeing his father hauled to prison. On his journey, he meets a blind man, who digs treasure. He wants what Tom has digged up, Worm, a
body-snatcher. With Worm, Tom reliazes the secrets of Worms. As Tom lurks though the streets, a gang of young pickpockets mistakes Tom as a muderer, Smasher. Accused of muder, Tom is put into prison. He's put into prison for seven years. Now, Tom is planning his escape, will he make it? Read to find out! I thought this book was mysterious and packed with quiet action.

hey, i read that book from the "red maple" (award for book) list before...kinda found the first 30 pages a bit boring. there was one part that was very gross too...(as in bloody-type-of-gross), but still a good story compare to one of the other book on the "red maple" list. =)
