The Sword Of Shannara by Terry Brooks
The Sword Of Shannara is a 726 page book but it's good! It was just like Lord Of The Rings but not as boring and shorter. Basically a place in the South called Shady Vale is where two brothers live quite happily until a tall, mysterious traveler named Allanon intrudes. The two brothers aren't exactly brothers by blood but they are both in the Ohmsford family. The brothers' names are Flick and Shea. Shea was adopted at the age of 3 when his mother died. Shea is half-human and half-eleven and the only one of his type in Shady Vale. Allanon comes and warns him that a distinct blood line determines that he is the rightful heir to the fabled Sword of Shannara. Allanon told him that he is part of the bloodline of Jerle Shannara, a great eleven king who destroyed the evil threatning the whole world and that the evil that Jerle Shannara destroyed is back and it is up to Shea to take the Sword of Shannara up against the evil Warlock Lord. The Warlock Lord has been tracking down all the elves in Jerle Shannara's bloodline and killing them but he never considered that there may be a half-human half-elfin bearer. Now Shea must run away and seek the shelter of the Anar forests with his brother and eventually regain the sword of shannara and defeat the Warlock Lord!
Wow I typed a lot...Well this book is 726 pages long! It is a compelling adventure about 7 people going up against something evil that threatning the whole world, will they survive their quest and will Shea truly destroy the Warlock Lord forever? You have to read it to find out! Muhahahaha!

Hi, Book Lover:
Impressive for a first review. Credit as well for reading such a long book.
My husband loves Terry Brooks. There are so many books in the Shannara series. If you cannot find them in teens, go over to adult.
