Ice Drift

This book was about the exciting adventure of two young inuit brothers. While seal hunting, Alika and his brother Sulu's floe (a piece of large ice like land) breaks off fromland and they began to drift away. They are on their journey for six months, and during that time they get attacked by a polar bear, their food supply is eaten by animals and Sulu falls in the water causing him a near death experience due to the freezing arctic waters. Little do they know, their mother is desperately searching for them. Though she failed, after a dark winter with no light, they finally reach land and board a ship which would take them back home.
