Eight Seconds - Jean Ferris

John works hard at the ranch, and is relieved when his dad sends him away to rodeo school. Living in a house full of girls, he is thankful to spend six days just being with the guys. Everything is in good fun, until he finds out that one of his new friends is gay. Eight Seconds is about John's reactions, and dealing with somebody who is different. I really liked this book. It started out slowly, as all books do, but once I got into it, i couldn't put the book down. And don't be discouraged by the fact that it's a rodeo book - it's a great read for anybody!!

i totally agree. you can't change who you are, and it's wrong for people to make fun of you for who you are. those people should be more accepting!!
