The Clique Series - Lisi Harrison

In The Clique series, Massie Block and her three friends Alicia, Kristen, and Dylan make up The Pretty Committee, the most popular clique at their school, Octavian Country Day (OCD). These four girls hold all of the power, and from an outsider's perspective, it looks like they have the perfect life. But when Massie's father's friend's family comes to stay in their guest house, Massie's perfect life is thrown into chaos with a 'geek' Claire, who wants to join The Pretty Committee, and her younger brother, who is obsessed with Massie and loves spying on her. These books take you through the lives of the rich and popular, and through Claire's attempts to become part of the Pretty Committee.

Book #1 - The Clique

Claire's family moves in with the Blocks, and she desperately tries to get close to Massie and become part of The Pretty Committee through a series of schemes.

Book #2 - Best Friends for Never

Massie throws a boy/girl Halloween party to impress the entire grade and stay number one. But things turn sour when she is forced to co-host the party with Claire, and one of her best friends humiliates her in front of everybody.

Book #3 - Revenge of the Wannabees

Alicia tries to start her own clique, convinced that she can outdo Massie. And now that Alicia has left, Claire is in The Pretty Committee. But things are not as they seem, and there is alot of betrayal going on behind the scenes.

Book #5 - Invasion of the Boy Snatchers

Alicia's cousin Nina from Spain arrives and starts screwing up all of the girls relationships, mostly Massie with Derrington, and Claire with Cam. All the girls must now work together to send Nina right back to where she came from.

Book #6 - The Pretty Committee Strikes Back

Kristen must deal with a haircut that leaves her looking like a man, and Claire awaits her first kiss from Cam, now that she has everything else that she wants, and is an official member of The Pretty Committee.

While these books aren't neccessarily eduactional, they are quite humourous, and addictive!! Once you read one, you'll be desperate to read more. I love them!! Lisi Harrison really makes you feel like you are following the girls around, and that you are part of their dillemmas.

um, i don't know of anybody who actually lives such a spoiled life, where people get whatever they want, whenever they want, but i still find it pretty funny to read about. it's true, it may be a little out there for people from markham, but you never know, out there, it may be a reality for some people.

Jen and Isabelle;

Books and tv shows are made up of people whose lives are not real.

I used to have a regular customer who loved Harlequin romances. She said I know these are not heavy reading but as a business executive, they were her nightly escape.

Reading is reading.

I am not a world traveller and never will be but I have seen many parts of the world through literature.
