Animal Farm- George Orwell
I've just finished re-reading this book, and find it just as wonderful as the last time. (insert smile) This is one of the few books that can be read either for amusment, or for want of deeper contemplation. It has it's comical moments (the war between the animals and the farmer) as well as it's darker implications (the pigs at the end could not be differentiated from those faces of the other humans). On the whole, i enjoyed the example of how great media influence is. This novel certainly still implies today (with North Korea, where even starving citizens believe they are better off than the rest of the world due to media propaganda) and is definately worth the read. (Thanks to Catherine's advice: Mix-up the sort of novels you read consecutively. 3 novels in a row is bound to leave you feeling icky) Although I've been on a Sci-fi splurge lately, I hope to mix it up a bit soon.

Isabelle,
I read this one in high school. I have forgotten some of the plot.
I have to admit, this was not one of my favourites.
